The government, which ordered the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of pigs last month to head off a swine flu epidemic, announced Monday that two American students at the American University in Cairo had come down with the virus. The students, a New Jersey man and a Florida woman, both 23, arrived in Cairo on different flights on May 28. Classes at the university have been canceled for the week, and the students’ dormitory has been quarantined for seven days.
