Third K-College student contracts swine flu

KALAMAZOO — A third Kalamazoo College student has swine flu, officials said Tuesday.
The sophomore went to the college’s health center on June 10 after becoming ill and then went home to Ann Arbor, college spokesman Jeff Palmer said.
The student had completed her course exams and was preparing to leave when she began experiencing flulike symptoms. The college does not offer classes during the summer.
A swab sent to the Michigan Department of Community Health confirmed on Friday that the student was infected with the H1N1 flu virus.
